Argentina records a strong August for sunflower oil
Sunflower processing and crude oil exports reached records for the month.
DataPortuaria’s coverage of CIARA-CEC’s Agroindustrial Monitor reports that Argentina processed 506,000 tonnes of sunflower seed in August and exported 161,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil. Cumulative sunflower oil exports from January through August rose 36% year on year.
The figures illustrate developments in an important regional source of vegetable oils.
